Penobscot Job Corps offers
students plenty of opportunities to participate in leisure-time activities during evenings
and weekends.
The following is just some of Penobscot's recreational offerings:

canoeing, ball games, golf, beach, museums, etc.
Penobscot's dorm is modern and spacious. Dorm rooms are shared
by no more than four students each, and each room has its own bathroom with shower.
Rooms for new students going through orientation are shared by five students.
Each dorm wing features its own shared student lounge, where residents of that floor
can watch t.v. and socialize. As with all Job Corps campuses, dorm housing and other
benfits at Penobscot are offered at no cost to their students.
As in any academic environment, Job Corps students are expected to respect the
program's rules to ensure a safe living and learning environment for all students.
Written copies of campus rules and policies are provided to new students when they first
arrive on campus.
A Zero-Tolerance Policy prohibiting the use of drugs and
alcohol, as well as violent behavior by Job Corps students is strongly enforced.
