Life at Shriver Job Corps is not all training. Staff here are aware that leisure-time is an important component for students, which is why a variety of activities are offered. Some of the leisure-time activities available include:
Dorms at Shriver Job Corps feature four-person bedrooms with private bathrooms, and lounge facilities for students to watch television together, play games, and socialize. As with all Job Corps centers, housing and other benefits at Shriver are provided at no cost to their students. As in any academic environment, Job Corps students are expected to respect the program's rules to ensure a safe living and learning environment for all students. Written copies of campus rules and policies are provided to new students when they first arrive on campus. A Zero-Tolerance Policy prohibiting the use of drugs and alcohol, as well as violent behavior by Job Corps students is strongly enforced. |
